Course Description
Have you ever wondered what is in the stacks of Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA)? Learn about the collections and how to use SCUA materials for research and personal projects from two archivists at Parks Library. This course will include hands-on time with original materials reflecting ISU’s history, with an emphasis on some lesser-known stories and collections.
Instructors
Jaycie Vos is the University Archivist. She documents, preserves, and shares university history with the campus and broader community. Prior to ISU, she was Special Collections Coordinator and University Archivist at the University of Northern Iowa, and Coordinator of Collections for the Southern Oral History Program at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Olivia Garrison is the Parks Library reference and instruction archivist. In her role, she is responsible for coordinating the SCUA instruction program, answering the majority of reference questions and ushering photo duplication, AV, and image request orders through the system. She loves to connect patrons to the sources and information they are looking for.
