Michael Wagler is the State Director of AARP Iowa. AARP is the nation’s largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering people 50 and older to choose how they live as they age. In addition to his role at AARP, Wagler also helped lead the revitalization of the Varsity Cinema.

Course Description

Did you know that each state has its own AARP office? With 329,000 members in Iowa and nearly 200 active volunteers, AARP Iowa is engaged directly in local, state, and federal issue advocacy; community outreach and educational programming; and fun activities that build social connections. This session will explore some of the exciting ways that AARP Iowa engages with your community through a wide variety of virtual and in-person events throughout the year.
