Course Description
This course will cover the life of Harry Truman, his journey from a young World War I veteran haberdasher in Kansas City to his life in the White House, where he famously had the slogan on his desk, “The buck stops here.” He made tough decisions that are still debated today. He also implemented the Marshall Plan, which helped rebuild war-torn Europe. When his time on the world stage was over,he returned to the modest house he had left in Independence and became a private citizen.
