Michael Coveyou worked for the Iowa Department of Public Safety for 33 years, retiring as Planning and Research Administrator in 2012. He also taught Statistics and Political Science at Iowa State before and after working in state government.

Course Description

This course will focus on the history of statistics in baseball and the upending of that tradition by the development of sabermetrics (analytics), the spread into other sports, and further into fields such as medicine.
