26 – Beginning Native American Style Flute

Karen Bates is a retired nurse practitioner. She has been playing the Native American Style Flute for years. She founded the Ioway Creek Flute circle in Ames,which she leads monthly.

Course Description

Learn to play the beautiful Native American Style flute in a matter of weeks—no musical experience is needed. Each participant will meet with the instructor before the first class for a mini-lesson. The instructor has 12 flutes available for purchase for $100, and an eBook for $23 (these costs are not included in the course registration fee, and will be paid to the instructor, not OLLI at ISU).
