If you are renewing your membership, select your membership type below and utilize the form as instructed. The ISU Alumni Association utilizes the same form for both first-time members and renewing members.

Types of Membership


Exclusive benefits for $65, including hundreds of thousands of discounts, access to the online alumni directory and print alumni magazine, the annual ISUAA Wall Calendar, options to enroll children in the LegaCY Club, discount Alumni Collection merchandise and ISU Alumni Center room rentals, and more. Available to all, regardless of alumni status. Joint options available.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP

Add a joint member to your current and active single annual membership for just $10. If you are unsure of your current membership status, please contact Krystal Couture at krystalc@iastate.edu

ADD A JOINT ANNUAL MEMBER

All the benefits of annual membership, plus an ISUAA swag box when you pay your life membership in full. Available to all, regardless of alumni status. Purchase a fully paid single membership for $1,000, or a joint membership for $1,500.

LIFE MEMBERSHIP

Add a joint member to your existing single life membership for just $500.

ADD A JOINT LIFE MEMBER

All the benefits of annual membership at an affordable $35 annual rate, or five years for $140 (available first year of alumni status only). Alumni who have graduated within the past five years are able to take advantage of the annual rate pricing, made possible by the partnership of ISU Alumni Association members and the dedication of the ISUAA Board of Directors to Iowa State's land-grant ideals of access. New Grad Membership

All the benefits of annual membership, available to current and retired faculty and staff of Iowa State University for $45 annually. This is a $20 savings from the individual annual membership price.

Faculty/Staff Membership

A single life membership can be paid in 5 annual installments of $220 or 10 semi-annual payments of $110. Joint life memberships can be paid in 5 installments of $320 or 10 semi-annual payments of $160.

For current enrolled Iowa State students. FAN members receive a custom FAN t-shirt. Membership includes unlimited access to more than 100 local businesses and hundreds of nationwide discounts, and access to the alumni online directory. Membership is included in ISU Athletics' All-Sports Package.

Make a life member payment

If you joined the ISU Alumni Association as a life member and are not on an automatic payment plan through our website, you can use our online form to make a payment, or contact Krystal Couture, member services staff assistant, at (515) 294-2648 or krystalc@iastate.edu to inquire about your current balance and get information about making a payment at any time. Invoices will also be distributed via U.S. Mail to this small group of life members who joined on alternate versions of our life member installment payment plan.

FAQs

No. Everyone can become an ISU Alumni Association member.


Anyone who has graduated from ISU within the past five years (including graduate students and veterinary medicine students).


A joint membership is any membership with two people residing at the same address and in a relationship/partnership.


No. All memberships have an additional cost for a joint member. The best deal is to do a joint membership whenever possible.


Life memberships can be paid in full at the time of purchase (will receive a $100 discount) or can be split up into installment payments (annual and semi-annual). Current students can choose to have their dues paid by their Ubill either in full or by installments each semester (for student life memberships). Members also have the option of enrolling in autopay by using their credit card or bank account. Payments can be made online, in person, by mail or by credit card over the phone.


Yes. Fill out our Iowa Stater magazine online form to opt out of getting a physical copy of the association's member magazine, Iowa Stater.


Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Royalties and sponsorships received from programs and services offered through the ISU Alumni Association are used to keep membership dues reasonably priced and to support student and alumni outreach programs, leadership opportunities, and scholarship initiatives.
