Evolving from Edisonian: The Imperative of Modeling

This talk will contrast modern (computational) science and engineering with traditional (Edison legacy) approaches. Over a 35-year career at GE, Rick’s experiences spanned a wide range of industries impacting Iowa, including medical imaging, appliances, lighting, locomotives, plastics, security, finance, energy generation and distribution, water treatment, petroleum pipelines, NBC-Universal, and landing in the current GE Aerospace business.
