Course Description
Experts believe our nonverbal communication, or the ways we communicate exclusive of verbal messages, contributes the majority of meaning in our interactions with others. This course will explore the basic principles of nonverbal communication, present information about the subcodes we use to communicate nonverbally, and provide suggestions about ways to manage our sending and receiving of nonverbal messages.
Instructor
Denise Vrchota is a Teaching Professor Emerita, retiring from ISU after 45 years in the Communication Studies Program. She earned her PhD in Adult Learning Theory. She continues to contribute to ISU by offering communication seminars and serving in other capacities through the Graduate College.
