Course Description

Before her death in 1974, Felicia Bornstein Lubliner wrote about her harrowing experiences in ghettos and concentration camps in Nazi-occupied Poland. Her son, who compiled and published her writings, will present excerpts from “Only Hope: A Survivor’s Stories of the Holocaust,” highlighting her resilience and indomitable spirit, his perspective as a child of Holocaust survivors, and his process in bringing the book to fruition. Audience questions will be welcomed during and after his presentation.

Instructor

Irv Lubliner, Professor Emeritus at Southern Oregon University, taught mathematics for 40 years—at all levels, kindergarten through graduate school. Since retiring in 2014, he has published his mother’s writings and dedicated himself to sharing her powerful Holocaust stories through hundreds of presentations for teen and adult audiences nationwide.
