Course Description

We may humanize artificial intelligence (AI) since it appears to “think,” but really it’s only “mathing.” Still, it is an amazing tool with considerable value for progress in medicine, science, commerce, and writing. We’ll take a close look at the issues, ethical dilemmas, and advantages of using AI. We’ll also consider its expanding presence in our lives, and how, like the internet, it is becoming part of the new normal.

Instructor

Joe Nalven has authored over a dozen articles for Minding The Campus, Times of San Diego, and Climate Etc. His explorations of artificial intelligence have connected him with industry professionals, enabling him to engage in meaningful dialogue and test his ideas against those working in the field.
