Course Description
Before red states and blue states, before controversies over the Ten Commandments, even before the Constitution was ratified, two colonial leaders spoke to what it meant to be a Christian in America, and to what an America informed by Christian faith should look like. Those leaders were John Winthrop and Roger Williams. Join this class to explore their differing visions and to gain a new perspective on today’s debates about faith and politics in America.
